House Deal Fell Through

Posted in home by monty on April 29, 2009

We had an offer on our house this weekend that was pretty good.  We were close on the dates and price.  The deal was nearly accepted when we found out that it fell through.  Our buyer ran into some unexpected financing problems despite the fact that they had a loan approval letter from a mortgage company and an existing home that was about to sell.   They decided not to sell their home and not to buy ours because they didn’t have the money to do so.  Bummer..  we were getting excited to move

Impress Mom

Posted in family by monty on April 8, 2009

Last night we had the boys read to us before bed and I pushed Z to finish a level 3 book about dinosaurs that was 47 pages.  At about page 25 he started to grumble.  I pushed him to page 35 and then showed him how much he had left.  Then he said, “OK, I want to finish it and impress mom”.  Well, he finished it and impressed us both :)

The book was called Dinosaur Days.

WTP Metric Bike Sold

Posted in bmx by monty on April 7, 2009

Today my bike sold.  I listed it on global-flat.com and had a few interested people.  I took it to a bike shop nearby to have it boxed so I can ship it to the new owner.  I got $400 + shipping which was a pretty good price.  I hope the new owner is as excited to ride it as I was.  I had to get rid of it since it was not a good bike for riding around the neighborhood (it was made for tricks instead).  I’ll probably get another bike this summer.. something that I won’t hurt myself on as often hopefully;)
