Still House Hunting

Posted in home by monty on March 28, 2008

As more and more homes come on the market we keep looking. Homes exactly like our home are now selling for just $4k more than when we bought them. The were selling for $25k more last year. That housing bubble is going to hurt us if we sell this year. I’m hoping we can find a great deal on the home we buy so it doesn’t hurt so much to make $25k less on the sale of our house.

M .. still a little sick

Posted in family, health by monty on March 28, 2008

Yesterday M woke up and went until 2PM without a fever or with a low fever. When we took his temperature in the morning he had no fever. At 2PM he had a 100 fever. D gave him tylenol. That was it all day. This morning he feels fine again. Hopefully he can go all day without a fever this time.

M on the mend

Posted in family by monty on March 27, 2008

I think he is getting better. This morning he woke up with some blood on his stuffed animal that he sleeps with. It wasn’t much but I wonder what it was about. This morning he felt normal to the touch. We haven’t taken his temperature yet but he is acting normal – yeah! He was chatty and he ate breakfast. He is in the playroom playing with Z right now. I love the sound of kids playing in the playroom.

Foreclosure Sold

Posted in home by monty on March 26, 2008

I think that foreclosure that we looked a couple weeks ago sold. It was removed form the Howard Hanna website this morning. I can’t wait to find out what it sold for. Did they take a super low offer or did someone offer what they were asking?

Super Tired

Posted in other by monty on March 26, 2008

Today, I’m super tired. I slept good last night and was asleep by midnight. I woke up at 7:30. That is a reasonable nights sleep. My body is sore from working out over the last few days and I feel like I’m going to need a nap at lunch because I can hardly stay awake. I think I’m still paying for staying up late on Sunday and Monday to watch those basketball games. There is a 10:30 game on tonight but I don’t think I’m going to be able to watch it. I’ll have to Tivo it and watch it in the morning.

M is still sick

Posted in family, health by monty on March 26, 2008

Man, I just want him to get better. His fever was <100 this morning but it usually is down a bit when he wakes up. He is still coughing like crazy. I tried to get a sample of whatever he is coughing up but that has proved harder than it sounds. Tomorrow.. if his fever isn’t lower tomorrow we are taking him back to the doctor.

Lakers Won

Posted in entertainment by monty on March 25, 2008

Last night the Lakers won against Golden State. I didn’t get to bed until 1:30AM. Man, I’m tired today. Tonight, I’m going to sleep at a reasonable time.

I Am Legend

Posted in entertainment by monty on March 25, 2008

I didn’t realize this was science fiction. My wife hated it. Hated it a lot. I liked it. I thought Will Smith did a good job. The movie is about a guy who survives a plague in the future and is one of the only survivors left on earth. Most people were killed. Many were transformed into super aggressive night dwelling monsters. Will Smith’s character tries to find a cure for the monsters while not getting killed himself. I’d give it a B-.

Up Late Again

Posted in entertainment by monty on March 25, 2008

I’m up late for the second night in a row. The Lakers are playing Golden State. It is half time. They played Golden State last night too and lost. Right now they are down by 10. It stinks when I stay up to all hours watching a game that they lose. Then I wonder why I stayed up and wish that I hadn’t. But when they win… that is fun.

M Still Sick

Posted in family by monty on March 25, 2008

M is still sick. Poor kid. He has had a fever since Friday. He had diarrhea yesterday but luckily did not have it today. He had an accident with the first bathroom visit (big mess). D is going to call the doctor again tomorrow to see if it is OK to have a fever for so long. He has good spells here and there but has been sleeping a lot. Today I only saw him awake for a couple hours. He laid on the couch all day. Now and then when is fever would break, he would get up and eat something or drink something. I hate when the kids are sick. I just want him to get better.
