Say Goodbye To Back Pain
I recently ordered this movie from amazon called Say Goodbye To Back Pain. It is straight out of 1980 but the reviews were good and I don’t mind leg warmers. So far I’ve done 2 days of the first 2 weeks of stretching. It is closer to meditation than exercise which makes it very calming and relaxing. I hope it helps. So far it seems like a joke because it is so easy and hardly does any work on the back or stomach muscles. I’ll keep you posted.
Sad Reality
Today the sad reality of school set in for M. D walked him to the bus stop in the morning. When the bus pulled up he started crying and she had to push him on to the bus. He wanted to stay home and play with Z. He said school was too long and boring and he wanted to stay home and play with Z. Ahhh, the sad reality of life. First school, then work. Eventually we all get used to only having a few hours of non-work or non-school per day. Doesn’t it stink that we all have to get used to that?
Bus Stop
M already was dropped off once without anyone there to pick him up. OK, I exaggerate. D and Z were half way to pick him up when he was dropped off. He didn’t know it because the bus blocks his view toward our house. He just acted like it was no big deal. He crossed the street with the other moms and kids and started walking home. D met him half way and that was that. He’s getting so big!
Damn Boardwalk!
I went over to Bret’s house on Sunday and played Monopoly with him and Mollie (his fiance). Mollie went out quickly but Bret and I battled back and forth a little. Then he killed me with his hotel on Boardwalk. I haven’t played Monopoly in a decade or more. It was pretty fun. He and Mollie keep score on their refrigerator so I put my name up for all to see that I was beaten
Z was sick too
I had posted that M was sick and missed school last week because he had a high fever. Z got it too and had to miss his first day of school too. Both boys are over it I think. Both of them went to school today which was pretty cool. It was the first time they were both in school at the same time. D and I went out to lunch to celebrate our alone time
5 Days Since My Last Blog
I’ve been busy. I’ve noticed that over the weekends I tend to blog less. Sorry for that. I’ll try to post a few of the interesting things I’ve done over the last few days as separate blog posts.
Chris’s Blog
My old friend Chris (worked with him at a couple companies) has a blog too. He is a bit of a curmudgeon and has some disgust for generation Xers but his blog entries are fun none the less. I bet he doesn’t realize that I’ve been reading his blog (did u?) but I’m pretty sure he reads mine – hence the disgust for us generation Xers. Hey Chris, I too am annoyed with these things:
I-Phones
Harry Potter
The Simpsons Movie
YouTube (and the YouTube debate nonsense)

Smalltalk Processes
James has a good short Smalltalk Daily instructional video about how Smalltalk processes work. This is simple and short and fairly straightforward. If you are new to Smalltalk this is a good lesson to watch.
102 Fever
M is still sick. He has a 102 degree fever and has been laying around all day. D keeps giving him medicine to break his fever. Z has been drinking out of M’s cup, eating his food, etc so I’m sure he’ll be sick in another few days. M’s theory is that he got it from Gia (his cousin) because she doesn’t wash her hands after she uses the bathroom. I guess he does listen to us a little bit
He could have gotten sick from the kids at school or from the kids at Maria’s birthday party last Sunday (another cousin). Luckily he doesn’t have diarrhea and hasn’t thrown up anymore than the one time this morning. I hate when the kids are sick .. I just feel helpless and want to help him feel better.
